Art Deco in general has always fascinated me: I love the simple and clean lines. I particularly am attracted to the flapper necklace, the long free flowing ropes of the 1920s. I found this bead crochet sautoir (rope necklace with tassels hanging at the bottom) in an antiques store in Aix-en-Provence. Looking at it, in my mind’s eye, I see a modern lady swinging away, hypnotized by the movements of her rope around her.
