Going back to my Asian roots, I made these Good Luck fishes to celebrate Chinese New Year. Because the Chinese character for fish (yu ) is pronounced the same as the Chinese character for surplus (yu ), the fish symbol is frequently used to symbolize good luck, good fortune, long life, children, etc. The Water Element connection gives Fish the connotation of the subconscious, emotions, healing and purification.

In the Christian culture, the Fish symbol symbolizes salvation in Christ through water baptism.

Red is a warm and positive color associated with our most physical needs and our will to survive. It is energizing, it excites the emotions and motivates us to take action. In Eastern culture, it is the color of good luck.

Purple combines the calm stability of blue and the fierce energy of red. The color purple is often associated with royalty, nobility, luxury, power, and ambition. Purple also represents meanings of wealth, extravagance, creativity, wisdom, dignity, grandeur, devotion, peace, pride, mystery, independence, and magic.

Because of the nature of handmade jewelry, each piece is slightly different.
